Alana Garib is the most delightful fusion of wildly contradicting passions, personalities, and artistic expressions.

You’ll rarely see her out of high heels or absent from a local WWE fight.

She is shy by nature but sings with the confidence of artists twice her age.
She’s gifted, brilliant, with a penchant for lyrics and soaring melodies, yet she’s seen the underbelly of bullying and struggle that hallmarks the adolescence of so many. Despite the struggles, or even because of them, she has managed to translate the language of her stunning dichotomies into music that’s fun, infectious, and substantively relevant, alongside award-winning producer Billy Smiley (Whiteheart).

“When I sing, I feel so confident and happy,” she says. “It’s my happy place.” Consider her debut EP an unofficial invitation to said happy place and jump into feel- good pop that’ll put a smile on every face within earshot.

“I hope that my songs bring happiness to everyone who hears them,” she adds.
The project is a bold introduction to an up-and-coming artist with unlimited potential, a blend of all pop-oriented originals, and refreshingly intuitive covers.

Music has been a part of Alana’s day-to-day for as long as she can remember.
“I sing all the time!” She says with a laugh. With an admirable pantheon of musical influences, including Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Adele,Keith Urban, Phil Collins, Alanis Morisette, and Bruno Mars, Alana had unconsciously been developing her creative sensibility and discovering her voice for years. Yet, it was a sleepover at a friend’s house that kickstarted her professional career.

“My sister’s best friend’s mom heard me sing and thought my voice was amazing, so she connected me to a vocal coach,” explains Alana.
Four years later, the coach connected Alana to Billy. By the time she got to the studio, it was no holds barred as the creative juices began flowing, spilling over into songs like “High Heel Shoes.” The funky groove wraps around girl-power lyrics like, Ain’t nothing wrong with the high heel shoes. It’s a celebration of femininity, individuality, and straight-up chic style from beginning to end.

Her vocals strike with precision on the declarative mid-tempo, “I’m Done.” The vibrato in her voice belies a vulnerability that invites the wounded listener to commune with a kindred spirit. I’m done with your words like weapons and your actions like thieves robbing me, she sings with the resolve of one who’s been there, overcome, and is now determined to use her platform to help others do the same. A frequent target for bullies, Alana was pushed down a flight of stairs, sustaining a concussion and an injured knee. With the support of her family, Alana advocated for more proactive measures from school leadership.
“After a while, I said we have to do something,” she shares. “I have several friends who have been bullied and are stressed about it. Something has to change, but our voices are not even acknowledged at times.”

With her resolve to help others, alongside her poignant lyrics and vocal prowess, rest assured, everyone will hear her now.

“Going through things like that makes you stronger,” she says. “I hope I can just sing in front of people and touch their hearts.”

From her striking originals to her intuitively restyled covers like “Circles,” “Story of My Life,” Alana’s appeal is broad, her message timeless, and her artistry and talent without limits.
